I have become Ms. Popularity instead Ms. Pippi Longsox! Yep, I got another e-mail. This one is from Sundae!!!! It's so good to hear from my friends who no longer live at Belezaire. They are gone, but definitely not forgotten. Anyway, Sundae sounds really good. I wonder if she's still doing reining? Here's her e-mail:

"Hey Pippi,
It's Sundae. Guess what!!!!! We're related!!! My Great-Grandpa is Sonny Dee Bar!!! My person, Liz, showed me my papers the day after I saw your blog!

Oh, by the way – I moved. Now my people see me every day, plus there's a really cute black horse named Max. He is sooo dreamy. He talks to me every day and he's only one stall away.

Life is great around here. How is Story? I miss you guys. Hey little cousin, you may like Max more than Bravo.

Snicker nicker nicker nicker...
Sundae"

How cool is that – Sundae and I are related!

I got an e-mail from Story. You'd think since we're right across the aisle from one another she'd just talk to me, but she loves technology. In fact, she's trying to get me to sign up for Twitter. Might have to consider that. Anyway, here's her e-mail:

"Thanks, Pippi, for the kind words. We have had a great three years together... as long as I get to eat, drink, and go in and out of the barn or pasture FIRST. Someone has to be the boss mare, you know. Snicker, nicker, snort!
Story"

Yep, Story, you are definitely the head mare and that's just fine with me. My favorite view is of your big, old quarter-horse behind and tail. As long as that's what I'm seeing ahead of me, I know that all is right with my world!

October 18, 2008

Big day yesterday. Yep, I celebrated my third year with my human and of living here at Belezaire. I still remember that first day and how scared I was to get on the trailer and leave my good home over in Davenport with Abby and her family.

But luckily I'm very adaptable, so I just embraced change and came here, and now I know my very best friend in the world, Story. And I get to bat my eyes at Bravo. So life is good. And I even kind of enjoy riding my human around. She's teaching me to spin and now that I've kind of got the idea, I have to admit that it's pretty fun!

So as a present to my human, I found a video that I think she'll like. I know Story and I laughed so hard that Simon even heard us, and his
stall is all the way down the aisle on the other end of the barn.

It's called An Engineer's Guide to Cats. Enjoy!

Guess who e-mailed me – Inniss. It was so good to hear from him. You see, he went to college this fall so he doesn't live here at Belezaire anymore. And it sounds like he's going to move again. Read on:

"Hey, Pippi, it's Inniss! How are all you guys doing??? It's been forever since I've seen any of you! I bet it's starting to get chilly up there. It's still pretty warm down here.

But enough small talk, I have some crazy news! So my human, Erin, came out to ride me the other day and the head human at the barn told her that the barn is closing! The human that owns the barn is going to build houses in all the pastures now!!! How ridiculous!

So now I'm going to live at Bryan's house for a few weeks, maybe even all winter. My human isn't sure yet. It could be interesting, I may have to teach those big stock horses a thing or two.

But I'm excited – I'll get to have grain now, instead of just grass. YUMMY!!! Well, I suppose it's time for my daily chase of Jake (Buddy), ah good times. Catch ya later!
~Inniss"

Hay, Inniss, – next time you see your human, will you ask her if I can be in her wedding? I need to be there so I can catch the bouquet. Maybe she could put Bravo in the wedding, too; then he could catch the garter.

I miss Bravo. He's gone to the Youth Charity Horse Show in Springfield and it seems like forever since I've seen his shiny brownness. He's so handsome. And a great performer. I hope he comes back with ribbons.

I heard through the horsevine that he's entered in a parent/child class with Monica and Cynthia so that would be way cool if they got a ribbon in that class.
